Description

Trypsin & Chymotrypsin Tablets

Brand: Chemotrix Tablets | Pack: 10 x 15 Tablets (Blister)

Trypsin & Chymotrypsin Enteric Coated Tablets (Chemotrix) is a combination of two proteolytic enzymes used to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain caused by injury, surgery or inflammatory conditions. Each enteric coated tablet contains 1,00,000 Armour Units of enzymatic activity, supplied by a purified concentrate with specific Trypsin and Chymotrypsin activity in a ratio of approximately six to one. Trypsin and Chymotrypsin help break down proteins in inflamed tissue, clear away damaged tissue and fluid build-up, and improve local blood flow. This reduces swelling (oedema), eases pain and supports faster healing.

The enteric coating protects the enzymes from stomach acid so that they are released in the intestine, where they are absorbed. Chemotrix by Swisschem Healthcare provides Trypsin and Chymotrypsin in an enteric coated tablet form.

Uses
  • Swelling and inflammation after surgery
  • Soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains and sports injuries
  • Bruising and haematoma (collection of blood under the skin)

  • Inflammation and oedema associated with fractures and trauma
  • Other inflammatory conditions, as advised by a doctor
Directions
  • Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew, as this will damage the enteric coating.

  • Complete the course as advised by your doctor.
  • Do not change the dose or stop the medicine without medical advice.
Side Effects

Generally well tolerated. Mild stomach upset, gas or loose stools may occur and usually settle on their own. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or if you notice a skin rash or swelling of the face.

Precautions

Take only as advised by your doctor. Tell your doctor before use if you have a bleeding disorder, are taking blood thinners, are allergic to enzyme products, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, and keep out of reach of children.
