An enteric coated enzyme tablet used to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain after injury, surgery or trauma.
Trypsin & Chymotrypsin Enteric Coated Tablets (Chemotrix) is a combination of two proteolytic enzymes used to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain caused by injury, surgery or inflammatory conditions. Each enteric coated tablet contains 1,00,000 Armour Units of enzymatic activity, supplied by a purified concentrate with specific Trypsin and Chymotrypsin activity in a ratio of approximately six to one. Trypsin and Chymotrypsin help break down proteins in inflamed tissue, clear away damaged tissue and fluid build-up, and improve local blood flow. This reduces swelling (oedema), eases pain and supports faster healing.
The enteric coating protects the enzymes from stomach acid so that they are released in the intestine, where they are absorbed. Chemotrix by Swisschem Healthcare provides Trypsin and Chymotrypsin in an enteric coated tablet form.
